Course content
1. Introduction to the study, methodology, literature, reading assignments and other professional activities 2. Art at the boundaries of other disciplines: artistic research, engaged art, educational turn, the meaning of art in today's society. 3. Critical art (feminism and queer art, culture wars, activism, social issues in contemporary art, institutional critique, postcolonial critique). Institutions, personalities. 4. Analysis of assigned texts. 5. Visit to contemporary art exhibition, analysis / Zlín, private gallery Kabinet T. 6. Institutions, shows, prizes. 7. Analysis of selected texts / evaluation of individual work. 8. Relational aesthetics / collaborative art / participatory art. Postcolonial theory and contemporary art. 9. Excursion to Vienna / Albertina / MuseumsQuartier. Analysis of a selected text (on postmodernism). Final summary.
