Course content
The application of theoretical concepts of visual studies and knowledge from the history of visual culture leads students to a deeper understanding of selected examples from current exhibitions, awards, etc. events from the world of contemporary world and Czech fine arts and visual culture. As part of the discussion on selected topics, it helps students understand and describe their own work and practices their ability to assess and name events in contemporary culture. The course syllabus adapts to current events every year, yet pursues constantly broader topics such as globalization, identity and body, art and market, politicization and participation, media and propaganda, object and space, the transition to a sustainable society, memory, etc.
