Course content
Current tendencies in architecture are reflected in various approaches, which often intervene in the field of design. Many architects work in the field of design and vice versa, which affects both positions of their work. The course will therefore focus on finding the definition of the boundaries between architecture and design, as well as on the influence of design on the form of contemporary architecture. The course will also include an excursion. Course content: 1.-2.) The beginnings of the work of a designer and an architect - methodological definition of terms, characteristics of the work, differences in approach 3.-4.) Development in the 20th century, important personalities of architecture and design and characteristics of their work 5.-6.) Architecture and industrial design (machines,,...) 7.-8.) Architecture and product design (furniture,...) 9.-10..) Architecture and graphic design (wayfinding systems,...) 11.-12.) Architecture and fashion design 13. Excursions
