Course content
|
The course introduces key themes of modernism, its extreme positions in art (avant-garde) and visual communication (propaganda) and topics (industrialization, modern city, social consciousness, body and gaze, subject, nation, institutionalization of art, consumption) using examples from the visual culture of the first and second half of the 20th century.
