Course content
1. Renaissance - cultural and social background, technology, space, morphology, development. 2. Early Renaissance in Italy (Bruneleschi, Alberti, Sangallo st. and others). 3. High Renaissance in Italy (Bramante, Raffael, Sangallo Jr., Peruzzi and others), Late Renaissance, Mannerism (Michelangelo, Vignola, Paladio and others). 4. Renaissance outside Italy - France, Spain and Portugal, Holland, Germany. 5. Renaissance in Bohemia and Moravia I. 6. Renaissance in Bohemia and Moravia II. 7. Excursions. 8. Baroque - cultural and social background, technique, space, morphology, development. 9. Baroque in Italy I (Maderna, Bernini). 10. Baroque in Italy II (Borromini, Guarini). 11. Baroque in Bohemia and Moravia 12. Baroque in Bohemia and Moravia. Top representatives of the Czech Baroque (Dientzenhofer, Kaňka, Santini and others). 13. Excursions.
