Course content
1. Introduction to the study of architectural history, the legacy of ancient cultures. 2. Architecture of early Christians and Byzantium. 3. Pre-Romanesque architecture. 6th-10th centuries in France and Germany. 4. Romanesque architecture in France and Germany, cultural and social background. 5. Romanesque architecture in the Czech lands. 6. Principles of medieval urbanism. 7. Excursions. 8. Gothic architecture in Europe. 9. Gothic architecture in Europe. 10. Gothic architecture in the Czech lands. 11. Gothic architecture in the Czech lands. 12. Gothic architecture in the Czech lands. 13. Excursions.
