Course content
1. Introduction to materials in leather production. 2. Raw materials for the leather industry and raw material preservation. 3. Tanning process. 4. Classification of leather according to the origin of the raw material 5. Classification of leather according to tanning method, surface treatment and other aspects. 6. Properties of leather. 7. Brief characteristics of wood. 8. Manufacture of paper, paperboard and cardboard. 9. Shoe board, fibrous leather, shoe cellulosic materials. 10. Classification of textile fibres. 11. Raw materials for the textile industry. 12. Textile natural fibres of vegetable origin. 13. Textile natural fibres of animal origin.
