Course content
1. The creation of the footwear collection at the Baťa company 1900-1945 (sources of inspiration, the Instructor magazine, the phase of including patterns in the collection, the scope of the presented collections) 2. Cross-section of footwear production at the Baťa company 1894-1945 (characteristics of the best-selling models - sea shoes, plimsolls, meltons, sneakers, galoshes, sports shoes) 3. Production of footwear by the Baťa company during World War II (wooden footwear, wartime collection for the German Wehrmacht) 4. Company footwear catalogs and poster advertising in the 1930s 5. Instructional and advertising films produced by FAB (Baťa film studios focusing on footwear production) 6. Important footwear companies in Bohemia and Moravia in the first half of the 20th century (Vávra Praha, Krása Brno, Viktorin Brno, Humanic Jihlava) 7. Shoe factories in the Zlín region (Červinka, Zapletal, Štěpánek, Chlud, Jirousek, Kuchařová brothers) 8. World-renowned footwear companies abroad (Bally Schoenewerd Switzerland, Adidas and Puma Herzogenaurach Germany, Dr Martens Munich Germany, Converse Massachusetts USA, Nike Oregon USA) 9. Fashion and technological changes in shoe design in the 20th century 10. Important Czechoslovak shoe companies of the post-war period (Svit Zlín, ZGK Třebíč, Sázavan Zruč nad Sázavou, Botana Skuteč, ZDA Partizánske) 11. Successes of Czechoslovak shoemakers at world exhibitions (New York 1939, Brussels 1958, Montreal 1967) 12. Shoe design icons of the 19th and 20th century era (Francois Pinet, Pietro Yantorny, André Perugia, Salvatore Ferragamo) 13. Shoe design icons of the 20th century era (Roger Vivier, Charles Jourdan, Beth Levine, Andrea Phister, André Courréges, Viviene Westwood, Robert Clergerie, Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnik, Christian Louboutin)
