Course content
1. Footwear in the era of empire (absence of heel, symmetry of the sole, materials, decoration) 2. Women's shoes in the era of romanticism (Balmoral type, Adelaide, the return of the heel) 3. Men's footwear in the era of romanticism (wellington boots, buckle shoes with a low heel, the first lace-up ankle boots) 4. Footwear in the era of the second Rococo (for women's footwear, a return to high-heeled shoes, decor - buckles, bows, for men's footwear, ankle boots, half-boots, social shoes called pemsky prevail) 5. Art Nouveau shoes (shaped heel, symmetrical and asymmetrical sole, decor of chopped beads) 6. Domestic footwear in the era of the 19th century (slippers, slippers, popularity of oriental footwear, domestic production) 7. Children's footwear in the 19th century (efforts to regularly introduce asymmetrical soles, caps, ankle-laced boots, the first boots as relics) 8. Sports shoes (ankle shoes, lace-up shoes with a textile upper) 9. Shoe factories in Bohemia and Moravia 10. Tannery and shoe factory of Karel Budischowski Třebíč (history, footwear collection, manufacturing production) 11. F. L. Popper Chrudim Shoe Factory (history, footwear collection, manufacturing production) 12. Mechanization of shoemaking - steam drive and transmission, electrification, inventions of shoemaking machines 13. Disappearance of guild associations, transition from craft production to industrial technologies
