Course content
The second semester of Sustainable Cultural Production develops more advanced student competencies across five modules focused on strategic direction, international frameworks, communication, innovation and evaluation. The opening module explores leadership and strategic planning, demonstrating how cultural managers can act as agents of change by embedding sustainability into long term institutional strategies and cultural policy. The next module examines European funding frameworks, introducing Creative Europe, Erasmus plus, Horizon Europe and Green Deal projects while emphasising the increasing importance of ecological strategies in grant applications. The third module addresses communication and audience engagement, focusing on green storytelling and participatory methods that can influence consumer behaviour among audiences and partners. The fourth module features advanced international case studies such as Ars Electronica, Tate Modern and ZKM Karlsruhe, encouraging students to analyse innovative sustainability practices and consider how they might be adapted to the Czech context. The final module centres on developing an atelier project and evaluating its environmental and social impacts through indicators, impact analysis and peer review, equipping students with the ability to design and critically assess sustainable cultural production in practice.
