- focus on current trends in the field, - issues of the influence of technological and software development on creative procedures and self-realization of a designer, - basic parameters and definitions of visual communication - the issue of visual literacy - personalities: Otto Neurath, Henry Dreyfuss, Gerd Arntz, Ladislav Sutnar, Charles Bliss, Miroslav Klivar, Otl Aicher, Ladislav Kessner, Tufte, Mc Luhan, Elkins, etc.
