Course content
The aim of the course is a combination of thinking about a real craft solution (where the emphasis is on the feasibility of the solution) and the conceptual approach of using craft techniques. The course focuses on craft techniques applied to post-conceptual thinking. Emphasis is placed on conceptual grasp of the assigned topic and mastery of craft techniques. The course focuses on both concept design and craft production (cutting, engraving, sanding). 1. Introductory class, studio assignment, course requirements 2. Brainstorming, moodboard, storyboard 3. Consultation on the topic in progress 13. Evaluation of the assignment The student applies the knowledge gained to complex design projects. The student is able to select for specific project of higher difficulty, optimal production technology and material while respecting basic ergonomic parameters.
