The course will come true following modules: - Introduction: How to get started, helpful materials and literature - Inspiration: Where stories come from, using personal experiences, ideas from new stories, adaptations: fables and legends - Genre: Identifying the genre: romans, westerns, science fiction, action/adventure, decetive/thriller, epic/historical and others - Setting the scene: How to chose an environment and how to make it work - Plotting: The three act dramatic structure, plot points, climax, resolution, role of subplots - Characters: Common types of characters, character development - Dialogue: Role of dialogue in movie script, Making every word count - Rewriting: Author´s ego and how to be objective, Identifying weaknesses - Formatting: How scripts are formatted - Preparing synopsis, rough draft, final script

Depending on the preferences and aptitudes of the student and the study of his/her specialisation at his/her home university, we individually choose the focus of his/her interest. If there are several Erasmus students of Audiovisual in a given semester, they form a crew together and make their film. - script development (from idea to finished script) - technical script development - habits, possibilities, strategies - learn about the Controlled Production System in the Audiovisual Production Studio - film making - possibilities, laws in the Czech Republic - post-production of a film |

By gradually acquiring knowledge, the student deepens these skills: - be able to propose, in terms of his/her specialisation and in the interest of the whole, the most appropriate procedure for working on the assignment - be able to implement the assignment (project, film) - is able to apply alternatives depending on the course of work of the assignment (film, project) - presents the workflow of the assignment in the crew and independently - is able to write texts of authorial explications and reflect in them the individual stages of the work process of the thesis assignment in terms of his/her profession (specialisation) |
