Course content
Course contents: Introduction, the definition of national cinematography, periods and their options Beginnings of Czech cinematography Czech cinematography in the 20's Czech cinematography in the 30's Cinematography in the Bohemia and Moravia Protectorate Czech cinematography after the WW II. and in the 50's Czech New Wave and cinematography of the 60's Cinematography of the Normalisation period Czech cinematography after 1989

Students will be offered theoretical frameworks and analytical tools that will enable them to orient themselves in contemporary image-dependent culture. Key texts will be provided on individual topics.
