Course content
The main focus is on: - people in front of a camera (actors and amateur actors, camera testing, selection of types, working with an actor), actor in front of a camera (voice technique, phrasing, semantic accent, modulation, tempo and rhythm, spatial orientation, sense for dynamics, dialogue, expression, word and motion, stylisation), social actor. - documentary film vs. drama education (specifics of a script, realisation, finishing the work) - advertising, promotional film - creation of a moodboard, storyboard, animatic Screenplay as a tool for the further professions in a crew - proper formal procedures (TV vs. film screenplay, screenplay for a documentary) - creating and building a conflict - theory of guiding a linear narrative - theory of parallel narratives - theory of narrative structures (mosaics, puzzles, cassettes) - how to write accompanying texts: synopsis, explication, treatment, annotation
