The course unit is realised as a production committee work and is a practical implication of a controlled production model at the AAV studio (as stated in the Production Book of AAV). The students present their projects in front of a committee, projects comply with the class assignments: linear narrative (work process) in a recommended length of 3 to 5 min. They submit a written explication of the solved project in the 2 standard pages length, each individually according to their study specialisation. The students gain the following knowledge: - Getting acquainted with a model of controlled production of AV works - Realisation of exercises - linear narrative (work process) in shooting cycles - Explication, realisation and production meetings, their contents - Rules for loaning technical equipment at AAV - Responsibility for a realisation of exercises at AAV - Technical and formal properties of exercises conducted at AAV The course unit also serves as an opportunity to deepen students' computer literacy (creating presentations, working with new software within individual specialisations). To successfully complete the class requirements students must meet all the formal and technical specifications that pertain to school exercises as defined in the Production Book of AAV, and meeting all deadlines. The students' projects are presented personally (linear narratives) and evaluated in front of a production committee. This is a practical practice of presentation skills, realisation of teamwork in a film crew, solving situational problems and situational learning. The students submit their explications in advance via email and they bring them printed out for their presentations. They consult their work on regular basis with their supervisors (in person, by telephone, via email).
