Course content
1. Beginnings and development of Gothic art in France. 2. Gothic art in Italy, Germany, and England. 3. Architecture and painting during the late Premyslid period. 4. Art during the reigns of John of Luxembourg, Charles IV, and Wenceslas IV. 5. Late Gothic in Bohemia. 6. Gothic art in the territory of present-day Slovakia. 7. Early Renaissance in Italy (architecture, sculpture, and painting of the first half of the 15th century). 8. Leon Battista Alberti. 9. Painting of the second half of the 15th century in northern Italy. 10. Architecture in Venice at the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries. 11. High Renaissance in Rome and Florence. 12. Leonardo da Vinci. 13. Michelangelo. 14. Giulio Romano and Mannerism. 15. Early Renaissance in Bohemia, Moravia, and the territory of present-day Slovakia. 16. Architecture and sculpture in the Habsburg court circle of the 2nd half of the 16th century. 17. Czech Renaissance architecture of the 16th century. 18. Art during the time of Rudolf II. 19. Italian art between 1570-1750. 20. Central European art between 1600-1780. 21. Flemish and Dutch painting of the 17th century. 22. Spanish art between 1600-1800. 23.
