Course content
The course focuses on a detailed analysis of the development of narrative film throughout various decades of the 20th century. During the semester, we will examine key milestones, titles, and creators who shaped cinematic history in the following decades: 1. Decade 1900-1929: The beginnings of cinematography, silent film, and technical innovations. 2. Decade 1930-1939: The Golden Age of Hollywood, major film genres, and global trends. 3. Decade 1940-1949: World War II and film, film noir, and the post-war period. 4. Decade 1950-1959: The post-war era, new waves in cinema, and technological advancements.
