Course content
1. Fundamentals of sustainability: history, definitions, concepts (SDGs, CICES, Millennium Ecosystem Assessment) 2. Global development and challenges: climate change, biodiversity, social inequalities, greenhouse gases, Paris Agreement, sustainable development 3. Sustainable development strategy: sustainable development, Agenda 2030, 17 Sustainable Development Goals 4. 1st environmental pillar: carbon footprint, sustainable business practices, supply chain and partnerships 5. Sustainable transport: emissions, electromobility 6. Smart cities: intelligent resources, sustainability, mobility 7. Bioeconomy and sustainable industry: circular economy, reverse logistics processes, industrial transformation, sustainable production, sustainable agriculture 8. 2nd social pillar: social responsibility, corporate culture - occupational safety, elimination of discrimination in the workplace, creation of an inclusive environment 9. Human resource sustainability: sustainability in companies, CSR, capacity crisis, new HR approaches 10. 3rd pillar of governance: transparency, risk management, due diligence, control and audit. 11. ESG Reporting: the importance of ESG reporting areas, the process of creating ESG reports in accordance with ESRS and CSRD 12. Case study - Škoda Auto Sustainable Development Report 13. Case study - Sustainability in transport 14. Case study - Carbon footprint in logistics systems
