Course content
Lecture: - Basic division and types of research - 1 hour - Introduction to Evidence-based Practice - evidence-based practice in midwifery - 1 hour - Basic concepts related to EBP and basic principles of EBP - 1 hour - The process and phases of EBP in midwifery (critical attitude to practice, formulation of clinical question, systematic search for best available evidence, critical assessment of evidence (validity, clinical relevance, applicability, application of evidence (results) to clinical practice) ) - 1 hour - Pyramid of Evidence, PICO - Search Strategy Worksheet, Critical Evidence Review - 1 hour - Barriers to implementation of evidence-based nursing in clinical practice - 1 hour Exercises: - Construction of clinical question according to PICOT format - 1 hour - Search for the best evidence from available online databases - 1 hour - Individual group work and consultation with the teacher and specialists / consultants - 1 hour - Searching for studies and their critical evaluation, selection of the best evidence - 1 hour - Recommendations for practice and possibilities of implementation of evidence into practice - 1 hour - Preparing to present findings to other groups and consultants - 1 hour
