Lectures: - Definition of basic nursing terminology. Nursing as art and science. Position of nursing in the system of sciences - 2 hours. - Development of nursing and nursing education in the Czech Republic and abroad, history - 2 hours. - Concept of Czech nursing (general characteristics and legal norms) - 2 hours. - Legislative regulations and standards relating to the qualification of non-medical health workers and the practice of the nursing profession. Regulation of the medical profession - 2 hours. - Nursing education - 2 hours. - Accreditation of educational programs. National Institute of Healthcare Quality and Excellence (NIKEZ) - 3 hours. - National register of healthcare workers - 1 hour. - The position and function of nurses in the system of health and preventive care. 2 hours. - Professional national and international nursing organizations, their content and importance for the development of nursing and for the development of the profession - 2 hours. - Classification systems in nursing - 2 hours. - Conceptual models, theories, concepts of conceptual models - 1 hour. - Traditional model of nursing care - 1 hour. - The best-known conceptual models and theories in nursing, their characteristics - 2 hours. - The philosophy of multiculturalism. Definition of the basic concepts of multiculturalism. Foreigners in the Czech Republic. Basic premises of multicultural nursing care - 2 hours. - Culture shock, the phase of culture shock, its impact on human health and on the nursing care provided - 1 hour. - Culturally specific models used in transcultural nursing (e.g. Madeleine Leininger's model.
