Lectures: - Definition of basic nursing terminology. Nursing as art and science. Position of nursing in the system of sciences - 2 hours. - Development of nursing and nursing education in the Czech Republic and abroad, history - 2 hours. - Concept of Czech nursing (general characteristics and legal norms) - 2 hours. - Legislative regulations and standards relating to the qualification of non-medical health workers and the practice of the nursing profession. Regulation of the medical profession - 2 hours. - Nursing education - 2 hours. - Accreditation of educational programs. National Institute of Healthcare Quality and Excellence (NIKEZ) - 3 hours. - National register of healthcare workers - 1 hour. - The position and function of nurses in the system of health and preventive care. 2 hours. - Professional national and international nursing organizations, their content and importance for the development of nursing and for the development of the profession - 2 hours. - Classification systems in nursing - 2 hours. - Conceptual models, theories, concepts of conceptual models - 1 hour. - Traditional model of nursing care - 1 hour. - The best-known conceptual models and theories in nursing, their characteristics - 2 hours. - The philosophy of multiculturalism. Definition of the basic concepts of multiculturalism. Foreigners in the Czech Republic. Basic premises of multicultural nursing care - 2 hours. - Culture shock, the phase of culture shock, its impact on human health and on the nursing care provided - 1 hour. - Culturally specific models used in transcultural nursing (e.g. Madeleine Leininger's model. Joyce Newman Giger and Ruth Elaine Davidhizar's model. Josepha Campinha-Bacote's model) - 2 hours. - Multicultural dialogue. Gordon and their use in practice - 2 hours. - Dorothea Oremová and the self-care deficit theory, Roperová, Loganová, Tierney's model of daily activities and their use in practice - 2 hours. - Comparison of selected nursing models/theories with a focus on their specifics in clinical practice - 1 hour. - Peculiarities of nursing care for a client of a different culture (different nationality, ethnicity, language, religion, etc.), peculiarities of communication - 1 hour. - Application of culturally specific models used in transcultural nursing - 2 hours. - Minorities in the Czech Republic. Specifics of nursing care for Roma patients - 1 hour. - Cultural differences of the peoples of the former Soviet Union - 1 hour. - Cultural differences of Asian nations, including Vietnamese ethnicity - 2 hours. - Peculiarities of nursing care for a Muslim client - 1 hour. - News and current information in nursing - 1 hour.
