Course content
Seminars - Norm, health, illness - 1 hour - Biopsychosocial approach to illness - 1 hour - Demanding situations - part of life, management of demanding situations, illness as a difficult life situation - 1 hour - Reactions of patients to long-lasting and oncological illness - 1 hour - Psychology of internal, respiratory and gynaecological diseases - 1 hour - Psychological approach and basics of communication with the seriously ill and their families and the close acquaintance - 1 hour - Communication of diagnosis of a serious disease. Individual stages of illness up to dying - 1 hour - Dying and death from the psychological point of view - 1 hour - Oddities of physically and sensorically disabled individuals, demands on care for such individuals - 1 hour - Child as a patient. Demands on care for child patients - 1 hour - Psychology of pain, reactions to pain, factors that influence pain experience - 1 hour - Oddities of approach to patients with mental/personality disorders, depressive and anxiety patients - 2 hours - Problematics of domestic violence in hospital environment - 1 hour Class practice - Demanding situations - part of life, management of demanding situations, illness as a difficult life situation - 1 hour - Care for the caring, syndrome of burnout - 1 hour - Psychosomatic disorders- 1 hour - Psychosomatic problematics of patient - illness relation. Changes in behaviour and experiencing illness, reaction to illness, needs of the ill and their role - 1 hour - Approach of the medical practitioner to the ill - 1 hour - Iatropathogeny - 1 hour - Psychological aspect of care for a hospitalised ill - 1 hour
