Course content
Lecture General pathology: Cellular pathology (basic general structural and functional changes caused by external or internal factors) Fundamentals of oncology (general nature and biological characteristics of tumours and a closer look at specific common tumours) special pathology (aetiology and pathogenesis of diseases with emphasis on some specific conditions and diseases) Seminar Special pathology (etiology and pathogenesis of diseases with emphasis on some specific conditions and diseases): Cardiovascular system (especially atherosclerosis, hypertension, IHD): Respiratory system: (especially COPD and pneumoconiosis). gastrointestinal system urogenital system: (especially STDs, lithiasis and urinary tract infections) metabolic diseases (especially diabetes mellitus and metabolic syndrome) neuromuscular system endocrine glands, skin system basics of immune reactions and their pathological deviations, infectious diseases
