Course content
Seminar - Psychology as a science - subject, position in the system of sciences, psychological disciplines (1 h). - Methodology of psychology - specific nature of psychological phenomena, possibilities of knowledge and use of methods (2 h). - History of psychology - pre-scientific and scientific period, important milestones in the constitution of psychology as a science, important schools of thought (2 h). - Main psychological trends of the 20th century - behaviorism, psychoanalysis, humanistic psychology (3 h). - Determination of psyche (biological, social factors, learning processes, self-development, etc.). Determination of mental disorders and abnormalities (2 h). - Mental functions, processes, states and properties - in normality and pathology (7 h). - Personality - personality structure and dynamics, personality theory, biological and social determination, motivation, abilities, traits, character (6 h). - Personality. Methods of cognition, personality assessment and errors in personality assessment. Personality formation in challenging life situations (2 h). - Personality in norm and pathology (3 h). - Ontogenesis, general laws of human ontogenetic development (2 h). Exercises - Periodization of psychological development, classification criteria (2 h). - Process of human socialization and forms of social learning (2 h). - Application of psychology in healthcare, forms and areas - relation to pathopsychology, general and developmental psychology (2 h).
