Course content
Lectures - Terminology and principles of psychic illnesses. Psychiatric examination. Symptoms of main psychic and neurotic disorders - 1 lecture. - Organic psychic disorders, mental retardation, psychic illnesses in old age - 1 lecture. - Personality disorders. Sexual disorders. - 1 lecture. - Psychosomatic disorders. Eating disorders. - 1 lecture. - Addictive disorders, alcohol, drugs, gambling - 1 lecture. - Psychiatry of children and the youth - 1 lecture. - Elementary skills in the basics of psychotherapy. Help in crisis - 1 lecture. Tutorials - The position of psychiatry, history of care for patients with psychic illness - 1 lecture. - Legal and ethical aspects of psychic disorders - 1 lecture. - Competences of psychiatry nurses - 1 lecture. - Organization of psychiatric care in the Czech Republic - 1 lecture. - Basic psychic functions, basics of therapy and nursing procedures in psychiatry - 1 lecture. - Organic psychic disorders - 1 lecture. - Nursing process at patients with organic disorders with dementia, with dementia - 1 lecture. - Nursing process at patients with schizophrenic disorders or delusions - 1 lecture. - Nursing process at patients with mood disorders, with mania; affective disorders, neurotic disorders, acute reactions to stress - 2 lectures. - Nursing process at patients with personality disorders - 1 lecture. - Nursing process at patients with behavioral syndromes connected to physiological disorders and somatic factors, with eating disorders (mental anorexia, bulimia) - 2 lectures. - Psychotherapy and psychotherapeutic approach - 1 lecture. - Crisis and crisis intervention - 1 lecture. - Rehabilitation of people with mental illnesses, integrative care in psychiatry - 2 lectures.
