Course content
- Principles of health and safety at work in geriatric and psychiatric nursing units and in departments of the so-called small clinical disciplines (ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology, dermatology, dentistry); - Safety of the elderly, risk of falls (prevention). Activation of the elderly. - Prevention of immobilization syndrome. Principles of positioning immobile patients. - Verticalization of patients, self-care training, elements of rehabilitation nursing. - Introduction to the character and organization of work in geriatric and psychiatric nursing units and in departments of the so-called small clinical disciplines (ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology, dermatology, dentistry); - Nursing process, education and the specifics of working with the elderly. - Nursing process, education and specifics of working with paediatric and adult patients with psychiatric diagnosis. - Nursing process and education of children and adults in the department of otorhinolaryngology. - Nursing process and education of children and adults in the department of ophthalmology. - Nursing process and education of children and adults in the department of dermatology. - Nursing process in children and adults in the department of dentistry. - Analysis of semestral tasks, keeping track of accomplished tasks (logbook). - Analysis of problem situations during the practical training. - Analysis of the practical training environment, identification of potential problem situations. - Use of group and individual supervision during the practical training.
