Course content
- Principles of health and safety at work. - Medical documentation, medical records. - Communication and cooperation of a medical team, sharing information. - Practical solution of basic nursing care in the form of nursing process for self-sufficient and non-self-sufficient patients with regard to their needs and ethical principles. - Training self-sufficiency. Verticalization of patients. - Positioning of bedridden patients, prevention of immobilization syndrome. - Effective communication with a patient / client and their relatives. - Nursing process and its phases, nurse's evaluation of a patient / client, observation of objective symptoms and recording patient's / client's subjective symptoms. - Attendance at the ward round (medical, nursing), assistance and sharing information in the team. - Measurement, evaluation and recording of physiological functions. Venepunctures. Drug application. Infusion therapy. - Care of medical equipment. - Prevention of HAI infections.

The student can apply theoretical knowledge and practical skills gained in the laboratory conditions into clinical practice, can intervene on patients needs in GP practices and home care agencies, can the organization of nurses' work in GP practices and home care agencies.
