Course content
|
Lecture topics: 1. Health, aspects of health, health determinants. Health protection and promotion, disease prevention. 2. Health inequalities, health equity, equity in healthcare delivery. International documents on health protection and promotion, Health 21, Health 2020. 3. Public healthcare - focus, content, components, implementation, legislation. 4. Health education - definition and content of the field, objectives, methods, and forms of work. Environment and health, and preventive measures to protect the health of the population, including seniors. Epidemiology of infectious and non-infectious diseases. 5. Hygiene. Occupational hygiene - definition and content of the field, objectives, methods and forms of work, health risks in healthcare and their prevention. Environmental hygiene. Nutritional hygiene - content of the field, objectives, methods and forms of work. Hygiene in healthcare facilities. Seminar topics: 1. Intervention program focused on living and working conditions and lifestyle. 2. Health education - working with groups. Health education methods. 3. The work of nurses in the field of anti-epidemic measures. The work of nurses in the field of health education in communities. 4. Assessment of health risks at work in healthcare, categorisation of work, regular health check-ups. 5. Anti-epidemic measures in practice. Handling of laundry and waste in healthcare facilities.
