Seminar topics: 1. Basic terminology used in connection with multicultural issues. 2. Multiculturalism, transculturalism. 3. Ethnocentrism. Culture shock. 4. Ethnic composition of the Czech Republic's population, development. 5. Attitude of the Czech majority towards cultural diversity. Practicals topics: 1. Healthcare and medical care systems for foreigners in the Czech Republic and abroad. Conditions for providing healthcare in the Czech Republic. Ethical aspects of delivering culturally sensitive care. 2. Research methods in a transcultural environment. Leininger's theory of culturally consistent care. Camphina-Bacote model. 3. Communication, language, and cultural barriers in a multicultural environment. Cultural competence of healthcare professionals. 4.
