Seminar topics: 1. Theory and practice of radio equipment and its properties. General highlighting of the origin of wireless communication, the need for information technology, means of communication, the military, message transmission ( telecommunication), the importance of its introduction in the Police of the Czech Republic, the Fire and Rescue Service, healthcare, and the introduction of wireless radio equipment in the field of emergency medical services from a historical perspective. 2. Theory of electromagnetic wave propagation. Propagation speed, band division according to propagation properties, propagation properties of individual bands, bands for mass media, bands for services, frequency channels. 3. Principle of operation on frequency channels. Semiplex, duplex, semiduplex. 4. Radio stations and their basic elements. Receiver, receiver properties (noise production, noise limiter), transmitter, power, reception and transmission control, channel switch, types of stations - mobile, portable, base. 5. Radio networks in terms of their use in healthcare. Established control method, i.e., dispatch centre of the Medical Operations Centre, mobile units. Location of the base station in relation to the required coverage of the serviced area. 6. Technical possibilities for implementing radio networks - dispatch centre in a high location, remote control of radio stations, repeater control method. 7. Selective dialling. Significance, types, and use of selective dialling. Status reports, use in dispatch control. 8. Frequency allocation system in healthcare. Introduction of operational, regional, and national frequencies. Need for a unified approach to connection in healthcare. 9. Legislation on the operation and establishment of radio networks. Current state of the EMS organisation. Procedure for establishing a radio network, procedure for terminating a radio network.
