Course content
Seminar topics: 1. Categories of human needs of the sick in nursing - theory of the patient's needs, relationship between motivation and need, classification of needs. 2. Factors modifying the satisfaction of the patient's needs, specifics of assessing psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs of the patient. 3. Specifics of satisfying the needs of seniors. 4. Specifics of satisfying the needs of children. 5. Nursing process, introduction, history. 6. Assessment in the nursing process. 7. Diagnosis in the nursing process. 8. Planning the nursing process. 9. Nursing interventions. 10. Implementation and evaluation in the nursing process. 11. Documentation of the nursing process. 12. Issues of psychosocial needs in the nursing process. 13. Issues of sexual needs in the nursing process. 14. Spirituality and religiosity in the nursing process. Topics of exercises: 1. Needs of the patient - creating activities of daily living for the patient according to their needs using nursing models. 2. Classification of needs and differences between healthy and sick individuals. 3. Needs of seniors - creating activities of daily living for seniors. 4. Needs of children - creating activities of daily living. 5. Forms of providing nursing care using the nursing process in practice. 6. Practical assessment using nursing documentation. 7. Creation of nursing diagnoses based on the provided patient/client history. 8. Creation of nursing plans based on established nursing diagnoses. 9. Practical documentation of performed interventions, evaluation of the nursing plan. 10. Nursing process in the area of assurance and safety. 11. Nursing process in the area of self-concept and self-esteem. 12. The nursing process in the area of sexuality.13. The nursing process in the area of spirituality and religiosity.14. Development of the nursing process according to the presented case study.
