Course content
Seminar topics: 1. Latin in medical terminology, pronunciation, length, stress, grammatical categories, nouns of the first declension. 2. Nouns of the second declension. 3. Verbs of the first and second conjugations. 4. Adjectives. 5. Nouns of the fourth and fifth declensions. 6. Verbs of the third and fourth conjugations. 7. Nouns of the third declension - polysyllabic. 8. Nouns of the third declension - monosyllabic. 9. Adjectives of the third declension. 10. Degrees of comparison. 11. Greek nouns. 12. Prepositional system. 13. Numerals. 14. Word formation.

- explain the use of Latin terminology in the work of a nurse, in understanding and documenting care using Latin terminology; - explain the grammatical structure of Latin text; - clarify linguistic phenomena in mutual relationships; - describe how to obtain dictionaries of Latin terminology, grammatical overviews, and indexes in professional literature; - justify the rules of pronunciation of Latin and Greek words.
