Seminars - Introduction to the subject, terminology, definition of terms. - Biography in nursing practice, its meaning and use. - Life story of the patient/client as a source of information for caregivers, timeline. - Concept of biographical care. - Cooperation with the family in biographical care and education of informal caregivers. - Scoring mechanisms for quality control of care. - Ethical aspects of working with biography, informed consent. Exercises - Nursing process and biography. - Biography in elderly care. - Preparation of informed consent for the patient/client. - Construction of a biography sheet. - Communication with the patient/client as part of information collection. - Use of information from the biography of the patient/user of health and social services to enhance self-care. - Biography and Maslow's pyramid of needs.
