Seminars - Clinical assessment of the geriatric patient (geriatric syndromes, multimorbidity, atypical symptomatology, geriatric frailty, deterioration). - Geriatric frailty. - Specifics of diseases in old age, needs of seniors, and differences in elderly individuals. - Risk of developing immobilization syndrome. - Specialized care for seniors with cognitive impairments. - Differential diagnosis of dementia, depression, delirium, interventions, and therapeutic approaches. - Ethical aspects of care in geriatric patients. - Respecting the dignity of elderly individuals. Exercises - Clinical examination of a geriatric patient. - Assessment of a geriatric patient using measurement and evaluation techniques. - Difficult-to-assess patient with dementia, pain assessment in advanced dementia, assessment of anxiety and mood. - Creating care plans from case study models. - Coordination of acute, follow-up, and home care for a geriatric patient.
