- Seminar on Professional Practice (introductory information, organizational guidelines, workplace and goals of practice, portfolio and Logbook management). Internship at a non-accredited workplace 80 hours - Getting to know the organization of home care, keeping documentation (filling out a voucher for examination/treatment in home care. - Introducing/ending home care or palliative care. - Performing activities according to the logbook, e.g. (performing and documenting a physical examination of a patient using assessment techniques, assessing the condition of a long-term ill patient in terms of possible complications, caring for a secured airway in a patient on artificial lung ventilation, including humidifying the inhaled mixture, suctioning from the lower respiratory tract, assessing the location, size and stage of wound healing, photo documentation, dressing a non-healing wound, using a dressing according to the stage of wound healing, providing home oxygen therapy...). Internship at an accredited workplace 40 hours - Introducing home care, starting administrative tasks and keeping medical documentation, filling out a voucher for examination/treatment in a DP (form VZP 06). - Performing prescribed activities according to the logbook (e.g. performing the first visit and assessing the safe home environment, performing and documenting a physical examination (assessment techniques), assessing health status and physiological functions, evaluating and diagnosing nursing problems, creating a nursing care plan (content and scope), implementing a nursing visit with professional performance (Type I. - IV) ...). - End of internship Reflection/evaluation of internship 1. Evaluation of internship by student, mentor, academic staff.
