Course content
- Definition of basic nursing terminology (goals, features). Nursing as a science, relationship to other scientific fields. (1) - The development of nursing, its influence by important personalities. (1) - Concept of Czech nursing (general characteristics, health and social characteristic of care). Legislative standards. (1) - Regulation of the profession of paramedical health workers. National register of healthcare workers. (1) - Human values and needs (definition of terms, division and classification). Self-sufficiency, lack of self-sufficiency, self-care deficit, evaluation techniques. (1) - Nursing care, phase. Systems of nursing care (basics). (1) - Community nursing, position and function of health workers in the system of health and preventive care (primary, secondary and tertiary prevention). (1) Seminars - Important personalities who influenced the development of nursing (Nightingalová, Masaryková, Staňková). (1) - Organization of work in health care facilities. Protective treatment regimen (OLR). House rules. Treatment unit and its equipment (1). - Multidisciplinary team, collaboration. Activities and competences of paramedical health workers (1). - Specifics of nursing care (assessment and saturation of needs, ensuring the patient's comfort and safe environment, monitoring. (1) - Documentation of nursing care, principles of documentation. Continuity of nursing care when the patient discharge from the hospital. (1) - Specifics of the work of health and social care workers in preventive care, cooperation. (1) - News in nursing. Evaluation of the subject. (1)
