- Subject and basic concepts of developmental psychology. Methods of developmental psychology. - General laws of human evolution and development theory. Factors of psychological development, types of changes in development and mechanisms of development. - Characteristics of individual developmental periods (prenatal, perinatal period, new-born period; infant period, toddler period; preschool period; school age; adolescence; adolescence; maturity; old age. Issues of dying and death. - Definition of social psychology, place in the system of psychological sciences and relation to border disciplines. Methods of social psychology. - The process of human socialization and forms of social learning. Social perception. - Social communication, characteristics of verbal and non-verbal communication. Disorders in social communication. - Attitudes. Prejudices. Attribution. Social motivation. - Social intelligence. Social competence. - Prosocial behaviour. - Social interaction, social scenarios. Strategies for coping with challenging life situations and ways to solve them. - Social group, characteristics, structure and group processes. Methods of investigating a small social group. - Social deviance and pathology. Endangerment of psychological development (neglect, deprivation, abuse, abuse). - Use of developmental and social psychology in the work of a health and social care worker.
