Course content
Anatomy and physiology - Cell, tissues. Basic orientation on the human body. - Movement system. - Digestive system. - Respiratory system. - Urinary system. - Genital system. - Bloodstream. - Skin system. - Endocrine system. - Nervous system. General pathology - Cellular pathology (basic general structural and functional changes caused by external or internal factors). - Etiological pathology. - Basics of oncology (general nature of tumours and the most common cancers). Special pathology (ethology and pathogenesis of specific diseases and conditions) - Cardiovascular system (especially atherosclerosis, hypertension, CAD). - Respiratory system (especially inflammatory diseases, bronchial asthma, COPD and pneumoconiosis). - Gastrointestinal system. - Urogenital system (urinary tract infection, lithiasis, sexually transmitted diseases). - Metabolic diseases (especially diabetes mellitus and the so-called metabolic syndrome). - Neuromuscular system (especially vascular diseases of the brain, degenerative processes in the CNS, neuroinfections). - Basics of immune reactions and their pathological deviations, infectious diseases. - Skin system (basic types of skin lesions with examples).
