Course content
- Analysis of student preconcepts in relation to psychological counselling, organization and activities of consulting workplaces. - Subject and meaning of psychological counselling. The system of pedagogical-psychological counselling in the Czech Republic. - Ethical issues of pedagogical-psychological counselling. - Counseling approaches, counselling process. - Communication in the counselling process. - Specifics of working with children's clients. - Diagnostic strategies in different age periods. - Examination report and work with data. - Overview of the most common school problems. - Problems of school failure (intelligence, specific learning disabilities, attention disorders, developmental conditional changes). - Problems related to impaired behavior (aggressive and non-aggressive behavioral disorders). - Disrupted social relationships in the classroom. Possibilities of their solution. - Problems related to impaired emotional experience. - Specifics of medically and socially handicapped pupils.
