Course content
1. Introduction to paedeutology. Theoretical foundations of the concept of personality and the teaching profession. 2. Teacher education. Teaching as an authentic profession. 3. The personality of the teacher. Teacher's professional self, teacher's identity. 4. Teacher knowledge - basics of teacher thinking. 5. The teacher's concept of teaching. Professional creativity. 6. Professional competence and activities of the teacher. 7. Professional gradation - professional development and teacher development. 8. Teaching strategy. 9. Teaching communication. 10. Social dimension of teaching. Health and professional fitness. 11. Researches of the teaching profession. 12. The Baťa system of school education.
