Course content
- Pre-school education in the system of educational sciences, interdisciplinary relations. - Child and childhood, conceptions of childhood from historical perspectives. - Development of upbringing and education from antiquity to the Middle Ages. - Pedagogical thinking and organization of upbringing and education in the Renaissance humanism period, Reformation and Counter-reformation. - Pre-school education and forming pedagogical ideas in the Baroque period, work of J. A. Komenský. - Pre-school education and pedagogical thinking in the Enlightenment period. - Important representatives of the world and Czech pedagogy and their main ideas in the 17th - 19th centuries. - Pre-school education and pedagogy in the world and in Bohemia in the 19th century. - Development of pedagogical thinking and movement in pre-school education in the early 20th century. - Reform pedagogy in the world and in Bohemia and its application in pre-school education. - Beginning and development of the pre-school institution. - Organization of education of kindergarten teachers. - The current conception of pre-school education in kindergartens. - Conception of pre-school education in the conditions of current kindergarten.
