Course content
- Relationship, cooperation, communication of primary school and family, relationship at group and personnel level. - Specifics of the relationship between family and primary school. History of the relationship between school and family with an emphasis on current theories (Epstein, Bull). - Family, marriage and parenthood, contemporary family (its changes, demographic behavior, family crisis). - Arguments for development of family and school relations. - Different socialization roles of family and school. - Participants of school-family relationship - teacher, parent, child. Essential role of the child in communication between family and school. - Types of parents according to the quality of parental behavior in relation to the child and school. - Home preparation for classes - position of parents. - Taxonomy of forms of school and family cooperation. - Reflection and discussion of the benefits and contentious aspects of developing a school-family relationship. - Primary school teacher communication strategy in cooperation with parents. - Organization of parents at national and international level - their activities in relation to school.
