Course content
-Mathematics as a scientific discipline, conception of mathematical preparation, methods and goals of mathematics, mathematical equipment of a teacher in primary education. -Numeral systems as a way of presentation of numbers. Positional and non-positional numeral systems, various ways of writing numbers. -Operations with natural numbers in other than decimal system , writing natural numbers in decimal and Z-adic numeral systems and operations in these systems. Transferring natural numbers from one numeral system into another. -Prime numbers and compound numbers. -Divisibility in the set of natural numbers, features and criteria of divisibility. -Expansion of numeric fields - from natural numbers to integers, rational numbers and real numbers. -Planar geometry , definitions and properties of basic planar formations, polygons and regular polygons, geometry in square grid (geoboard), basic Euclidian construction, positioning and metric properties of planar formations. -Spatial geometry - definitions and properties of basic spatial formations, positional and metric properties of formations in space, models of geometric bodies and their grids, regular polyhedrons, displaying spatial formations and buildings from cubes. -Modelling geometric concepts and relations through various techniques, building kits and jigsaw puzzles.
