Course content
- First aid (PP) and its classification. - Integrated rescue system (IRS) and its components. - Determining the severity of the accident, maintaining safety in provision of first aid. Positioning and transport of the casualty - Consciousness disorders (fainting, collapse, etc.). Shock conditions. Haemostasis. Bandage technology. Electric shock. Corrosion. Thermal injuries (burns, frostbite, heat stroke, heatstroke, hypothermia). - Drowning. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), airway management. - Injury of skeletal system organs, fractures. Convulsions and seizures - epilepsy, tetany, tetanus, febrile convulsions. - Urgent conditions in diabetes, sudden abdominal pain, alimentary infections, intoxication (food including mushrooms, drug poisoning, alcohol poisoning, carbon monoxide poisoning). Hygiene of the school environment (heating, ventilation, lighting, noise protection). - Hygiene of learning (first-level pupil's day regime, biological rhythms, school work, psychogenic stress). Ensuring safety and health protection including basic physiological needs of pupils. - Hygiene of nutrition - nutritional recommendations, health risks from food, hydration. - Security of school premises, keeping the rules of pupils' behaviour, supervision during the lessons and directly related activities). - Fire protection. - Development of health value of pupils.
