Preschool pedagogy in the system of pedagogical sciences, interdisciplinary relations. The child and childhood, the concept of childhood from a historical point of view/perspective from the present. Development of education and training from antiquity to the Middle Ages. Pedagogical thought and organization of education and training in the Renaissance humanism, Reformation and Counter-Reformation. Pre-school education, education and the formation of pedagogical ideas in the Baroque period, the work of J. A. Comenius. Preschool education, education and pedagogical thought in the Enlightenment period. World and Czech pedagogy in the period 17th-19th centuries, important representatives and their main ideas Preschool education and pedagogy in the world and in Bohemia in the 19th century. The development of pedagogical thinking and movements in preschool education in the early 20th century. Reform pedagogy in the world and in Bohemia and its application in preschool education.
