Course content
- The concept of literacy in the cultural-historical context (past, present, future) - analysis of concepts: functional literacy, literacy dimensions, adjectives of literacy. - Traditional attitudes and obstacles to the development of literacy in preschool age. - Natural approaches to the development of literacy - arguments in favour of stimulating literacy in preschool age. - Natural approaches to the development of literacy - development of language competencies, developmental parallels and educational analogies. - Theoretical basis of literacy development programs in preschool age. - Cognitive approaches - psychological concepts of cognitive development - their reflection in the theory and practice of learning written language. cognitive constructivism (J. Piaget); psychogenetic conception (E. Ferreiro); The concept of "emerging" naturally emerging literacy. - Social constructivism (L. S. Vygotsky) - emphasis on the social and cultural context of an acquisition. - Analysis of key concepts: social science education, social studies, social realities and universals. - Socialization, enculturalization of the child in contemporary postmodern society. - Getting to know the social environment in the conditions of kindergarten.
