Course content
- Pedagogy as a science. Status of of Pedagogy in the Sciences of Humans. - Structure of basic educational disciplines. The relationship of pedagogical theory and practice. - The educational categories. - History of education. Opinions on educability and educability in terms of historical development. Important personalities of pedagogy and their legacy. - Development of education for the establishment of independent Czechoslovakia, the current education policy in the Czech Republic. Education laws. - Educational process, its characteristics and patterns. - System approach to the educational process (objectives, resources, results, conditions, factors, relationships and determination, principles of operation). - Institutionalization of Education. Pedagogical models of transmissible schools and constructive schools. After-school educational institutions. - The role of teacher education as a fundamental factor. The performance requirements for teaching profession, professional competence, specific teaching profession. - Relationship of the objectives and outcomes of education. The effectiveness of the educational process. - Current trends in Pedagogy. - Current educational issues and questions. Tradition and modernization in education. Education foresight.
