Course content
- The focus of current social (especially educational) research. - Concepts of quantitative research, research design and links to theoretical underpinnings. - Themes and objectives in quantitative research. - Research problem and research questions. - Research population. - Data collection and acquisition. - Data analysis and interpretation. - Software tools for quantitative research. - Presentation of research results, data interpretation. - Criteria for assessing research quality.
