- Basics to academic writing - Defining terms - Explanation of a research problem within the study specialisation - Process or a procedure described in a sequence - Specific texts for art competitions - Film synopsis - Portfolio commentary - Artist's statement - Biography, CV, résumé - Creative project description

learning outcomes
After the course students have English language knowledge minimum at B2+ level or higher in: - grammatical tense at language level B2+ to C1 - forming direct and indirect questions - forming English conditional sentences - usage of passive voice in the complex of all grammatical tenses - usage of sentence punctuation and sentence linking words - usage of articles and formal lexis for academic writing

After the course students have ability to: - form a term definition used within their study specialisation - provide a problem clarification as observed within their study specialisation - form a description of a working process in steps - apply paragraph construction including a topic sentence - identify a proper writing style for a text within their study specialisation, such as a film synopsis, creative projects reports and their portfolios, artist´s statement, CV and résumé - understand the relationship between the purpose of the text and its formal features
