Course content
The subject uses a class textbook Ready for C1 Advanced, Units 5, 6, 7 and 8. During the semester students broaden their presentation skills. While working on their final presentation the following skills are practiced: signposting, structuring (introduction, the main points division, finish), visuals aids, techniques of repetition and gradation, connecting with audience, dealing with questions. Grammar: - Reference, substitution and ellipsis - Relative clauses - Passives - Reported speech - Determiners and pronouns - Future forms Selected conversational topics and lexis: - Relationships - Intelligence and ability - Risk and health - Cost and amount - Verb + noun collocations
